Dinosaurs and Thunder Storms

We took advantage of being off school and Michael being off work and headed to visit him in Chicago just after Christmas.

It was a snowy mess on the drive to the train station, but after that, it was fun relaxing on the train.

After cramming into a taxi (all 5 of us) we visited for a bit at Michael's place, checking out his fabulous new kitchen and H playing with all his Christmas decorations, making himself quite at home!

Third stop (these pictures are backwards) was the Field Museum.
Huge totem poles...

Christmas lights...

And Sue the T-Rex...

H was crazy with excitement as soon as we walked in.

We spent some time in an earth dwelling and checking out some Indian headdresses.

A little time in an Egyptian pyramid.

And then took a walk through time.
I never knew there were so many mass extensions in our history!

This was by far the favorite part of the museum.

Second stop: Rainforest Cafe!
"This is my favorite place." ~Hayden Hensler
Every time it 'thunder stormed' he was amazed all over again.
